Using the Projector
Controls for the projector are push buttons mounted on the side of the wall-mounted equipment cabinet. Press the buttons deliberately (linger for a half-second or so, don't just "bounce" or "tap" them).
Note: the lit button indicates simply what was pressed most recently. It does not necessarily indicate the current status of the projector.
Video, network, and audio cables are hanging on hooks mounted on the cabinet. Connect the relevant cables to your computer.
Note: if you are using the Meeting Owl, do not connect the audio cable from the cabinet.
Note: if you have an HDMI port in your computer be mindful that your operating system may attempt to send sound through the HDMI cable instead of through the microphone jack. Change the audio settings in your operating system to select the proper audio output.
Using videoconferencing (Google Meet, Zoom, the Meeting Owl)
Follow the steps for using the room computer to project. Additionally:
Borrow a Meeting Owl from the library, or supply your own camera and microphone.
Connect the Meeting Owl to power and to your computer via the USB port.
Start your video conference using your preferred software. Select the Meeting Owl as your camera, microphone, and speakers (if it isn't selected automatically).
